Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP)
Unique experience for a PNP to work in a community setting offering valuable experience in collaborative work with Community Based Organizations and Social Service Providers. We are looking for a compassionate, independent, energetic individual who is able to work in a team-oriented environment to serve the homeless and impoverished population of Schenectady County. Bethesda House of Schenectady is an agency dedicated to providing services to the Homeless and financially impoverished population. Clients that access the agency often have untreated medical and mental health conditions.
$125.00 / Hour. Licensure in New York State as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a minimum of two years’ experience working with persons who have serious mental illness, with preference of experience working with the homeless and a diverse population. Extensive knowledge of the etiology of serious mental illness, cognitive disabilities, and substance abuse disorders, knowledge of appropriate therapeutic interventions including psychopharmacology, strong written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of computerized systems, knowledge of agencies, programs, and services in the community, ability to work in a fast pace environment.

Human Resource Manager, Part-time, 32 hours / week, 8:00 am – 4:30pm.
The Human Resource Manager will recruit and hire staff and provide staff members with the support they need to engage in their positions. The HR Manager will manage all aspects of human resources including compensation analysis, benefits, schedule training, provide support to supervisors with staff evaluations, progressive disciplinary actions, and termination paperwork.
$65,000 annual. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with three to five years’ experience required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel. Ability to perform well under fast-pace conditions.

Assistant Director of Residential Services, Full-time, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
The Assistant Director of Residential Services is primarily responsible to provide long-term case management services to the residents in the Lighthouse Program (PSH and VA), Liberty Apartments, and the Beacon Residential Programs. Services will be tailored to encourage residents to remain continuously housed, and to become as independent and self-sufficient as they are able.
$55,500 annual. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field preferred or Associate’s Degree with 5 – 10 years non-profit experience. Understanding of Federal and New York State Benefits / Entitlements for residents. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong Computer skills.

Resident Assistant: Weekend ~ Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Mont Pleasant
Resident Assistant is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy living environment for the individuals who live at the Lighthouse residence. The Resident Assistant will preserve the dignity and respect of each individual regardless of personal differences. The Resident Assistant will work with residents on a daily basis on basic living skills and activities, which shall be conducted in a supportive, non-confrontational manner.

Front Desk/Security ~ BH Main Facility ~ Weekend: Saturday & Sunday Part- Time
The Front Desk /Security staff will be responsible to answer the switchboard, greet the public and program participants and maintain a safe and welcoming environment. The position is responsible to enter client data into the appropriate HMIS database program when assigned by supervisor and maintain confidentiality at all times. Various shifts available for 24/7 coverage.
First Shift: 8 am – 4 pm
Second Shift: 4 pm – 12 midnight
Third Shift: 12 midnight – 8 am
$15.00 per hour $15.50 per hour for overnight shift

Case Manager – Housing / Outreach, Full-time, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am- 4:30 pm
The Housing Case Manager will work as part of the Case Management Team providing triage, intake/assessment, crisis intervention, homelessness prevention, rapid re-housing, outreach and referral, and information services. Will participate as a member of the On-Call Team

Shelter Aide-Awake Shifts ~ Code Blue Overnight Emergency Shelter, October 15 – April 15, Full-time & Part-time. Monday – Sunday (7 days/week) Shifts 4:00 pm – 12:00 am; 12:00 am – 8:00 am. Two (2) staff per shift.
The Code Blue Shelter Aide will ensure smooth and efficient operations as well as a safe and secure shelter setting. This position will provide correspondence with his/her supervisor after each shift, utilizing the Shelter Communication Book.
The overnight shift will be the point person to wake shelter participants, making sure they are ready to leave the facility at the appropriate a.m. time and assist the morning custodian with shelter space clean-up.

Case Manager, Permanent Supportive Housing program. Full-time, Monday – Friday, 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm.
The ICM performs case management activities for adult clients who are both homeless and who are identified as having an unmet housing need AND have one of more disabling conditions or other life challenges: mental illness, substance use disorder, reentering the community from incarceration particularly those with disabling conditions.
$22.60 / hour, $47,000 annual. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services with five years full-time, paid experience. Experience providing direct services to chronically homeless and homeless persons who may or may not have a diagnosed disability. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Computer literacy.

Case Manager, Emergency Shelter program. Full-time, Monday – Friday, 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm.
The Emergency Shelter Program Intensive Case Manager (ICM) provides high quality case management services to homeless individuals. The ICM serves as the central point of contact for the shelter participants as they navigate from “persons experiencing homelessness” to stable housing either in the community or in a CoC housing program. This position enters data into the HMIS client database, develop and implement an individualized service plan, building on the DSS ILP, process in-house referrals to services, e.g. Social Work, PNP, Health Home Care Coordinators, Housing Case Managers, collaborate with Housing Case Managers and assist in obtaining stable housing, and process referrals to area providers.
$22.00/Hour, $45,760 annual. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services with five years full-time, paid experience. Experience providing direct services to chronically homeless and homeless persons who may or may not have a diagnosed disability.

The Front Desk /Building Monitor staff responsibilities include operating the switchboard, monitoring security cameras to ensure building and perimeter is safe and without incident, greeting public/residents, and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. The position is responsible to ensure that the safety of the residents is maintained.
$15.00/Hour. High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate’s Degree preferred, two to five years’ experience in security and/or customer service, strong communications skills, computer literacy.
