Administration Assistant, Part-time
Assists Development Coordinator with tasks such as logging donations, sending thank you letters, monitoring social media and general development help for the agency. Other tasks include filing, organizing and assisting in the administration office. Looking for a team player with desire to work across different fields under the social work umbrella. Flexible hours.
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. Experience working with Microsoft Suite required.

Assistant Director of Residential Services, Full-time, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
The Assistant Director of Residential Services is primarily responsible to provide long-term case management services to the residents in the Lighthouse Program (PSH and VA), Liberty Apartments, and the Beacon Residential Programs. Services will be tailored to encourage residents to remain continuously housed, and to become as independent and self-sufficient as they are able.
$55,500 annual. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work or related field preferred or Associate’s Degree with 5 – 10 years non-profit experience. Understanding of Federal and New York State Benefits / Entitlements for residents. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong Computer skills.

Front Desk/Security ~ BH Main Facility ~ Weekend: Saturday & Sunday Part- Time
The Front Desk /Security staff will be responsible to answer the switchboard, greet the public and program participants and maintain a safe and welcoming environment. The position is responsible to enter client data into the appropriate HMIS database program when assigned by supervisor and maintain confidentiality at all times. Various shifts available for 24/7 coverage.
First Shift: 8 am – 4 pm
Second Shift: 4 pm – 12 midnight
Third Shift: 12 midnight – 8 am
$15.00 per hour $15.50 per hour for overnight shift

Building Monitor/Security Officer - Cara House, Part-time
Friday/Saturday/Sunday 10pm - 8 am

Shelter Aide - Part-time
8a.m. - 4p.m. on Saturday and Sunday
Duties / Responsibilities:
The Cara House Shelter Aide
- Will ensure safety in the shelter setting.
- Will meet with the current shelter staff at the beginning of the shift to obtain updates and information from the previous shift.
- Will be responsible for preparing rooms, ensuring the shelter guest get food, showers and are settled for the night.
- Will be responsible for doing intakes for new guests.
- Will be responsible for washing /drying and folding all linen for the shelter.
- Will ensure all guests adhere to shelter rules and speak with the social worker regarding issues, notes and participant requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Two to five years of experience working with a diverse and challenging client population essential.
- Solid communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with the public, staff and program participants necessary.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
